Garrett Hauck

My project explores the mutation-specificity of Ca/Calmodulin Kinase II (CaMKII) activation in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. I aim to link alterations in biophysical properties of the thin filament due to mutations to CaMKII activation and pathogenic remodeling of the heart, and to establish CaMKII as a therapeutic target.
