Marloes van den Berg, MD, PhD, is the Lead Scientist of the University of Arizona Phenotyping Core (UAPC) and a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Arizona. As the Lead Scientist of UAPC, she assists researchers with cardiovascular research, specializing in echocardiography and cardiovascular surgeries. In her role as a Research Assistant Professor, she focuses on studying diaphragm dysfunction in mechanically ventilated patients and animal models.
